Crystal L. Galloway has dedicated more than 20 years of service to the Ardmore Avenue Community Center (AACC), where she has worked to support children, youth, and families through educational, recreational, and community-based programming.
Crystal began her career working with youth as a bus driver for the Radnor School District before joining the Upper Darby School District as a seventh-grade special education teacher’s assistant and later serving as an administrative assistant for two district principals. She also worked with the Township of Lower Merion’s Parks and Recreation Department as the Park Supervisor of Vernon Young Park.
Crystal joined AACC as the Center’s Program Assistant in May 2002. Through her dedication and leadership, she was promoted to Program Coordinator in 2022 and currently serves as Interim Director.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Delaware County Community College. Crystal is also currently pursuing her Director’s Credential Certificate through Lackawanna College.
In addition to her educational background, Crystal has completed professional training in youth development, communication and conflict resolution, counseling youth, cooperative games, cultural arts, diversity awareness, and harassment prevention.
Crystal is passionate about building a strong and supportive community by creating meaningful opportunities for youth and families while fostering an inclusive environment for all.

Freida began her journey in child development at the age of 13 as a counselor-in-training at Ardmore Avenue Community Center's Youth Summer Camp, eventually becoming the Director in 2014. She pursued her college education at Saint Augustine University, earning a B.S. in Exercise Science in May 2018, while also serving as a Site Coordinator for the local YMCA's before- and after-school programs.
Continuing her education at Meredith College, Freida obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on K-12 Health and Physical Education in December 2019. In 2020, she launched her teaching career with National Heritage Academies, taking on roles as a K-8 Health and Physical Education teacher, Athletic Director, and Head Volleyball Coach.
With a deep-rooted passion for child development and a commitment to her community, Freida is excited to return to the community center that played a pivotal role in her upbringing. She looks forward to making a positive impact on the lives of children in the community she loves.
The guiding administration of the Ardmore Avenue Community Center is it's board of trustees. The board collectively encompasses various duties and responsibilities. The key function of the board is to ensure the furtherance of the Community Center's mission statement.
